Your hours stay yours

The app

• No cloud, no account, no upload. What you worked on is recorded on your own PC and stays there. Nobody else sees it unless you Copy or export it.
• No telemetry. The app does not report usage, errors or anything else to Hourglass Works or anyone else.
• Works offline. Nothing in CADHours needs an internet connection - including the licence check.
• It only reads. The tracker asks Inventor and AutoCAD which file is active and which files are open. It never changes your files or your Inventor or AutoCAD settings.

What is stored on your PC

In %LOCALAPPDATA%\CADHours, in your own Windows profile:

• one file per day: the jobs and files you worked on, when, your comments and the note for the day;
• your settings, and the holiday calendars;
• logs of what the app did, for troubleshooting.

Tray menu → Open data folder shows it. Back up the days folder - it is the only copy of your recorded time.

This website

This site uses no cookies and no advertising trackers. If you email us, your message is used only to reply to you.

After you start the download, you can answer a few optional questions about your work (the CAD programs and versions you use, your industry, role and company size, and how you track hours now). It asks for no name or email, and nothing is sent unless you press Send. The answers go to Cloudflare and are used only to decide what to build next.
